Over the course of 45-60 minutes, we will cover four key areas that will give you the competencies to identify what a teaching session and adult leaders should teach you, how to identify issues, shortcomings, and potential signs of a negative and potentially harmful environment to  ensure your safety and enjoyment

At the end of the course, you have a 30 questions multiple choice quiz to test your knowledge. In order to pass this course, you will need to get a score of 70% or over.

In completion of the course you will receive from SELFguarding, a certificate and badge, in acknowledgement of your achievement.

Set Up:

  •  What is the purpose of a set up?
  •  What to expect from a set up & how to respond (TALK principle) 
  • Why we need a set up? 
  • When set up should take place? 
  • How to spot safety hazards in a setup?
  • What a set up can look like?

Training:

  • Time

Ace Test:

  • Straight forward YES/NO questions. 

Teaching:

  •  What to expect from your Adult Leader and what not to expect 
  • Spotting positive and negative reinforcement
